Parenting Support

Picture
Parenting is a stressful job.
There's never enough time in the day and always something else to be done. It can be all too easy to get swept away in the chaos and forget how to connect with yourself and with your loved ones. How can you bring some peace back into your day? What is it that your child really needs? How can you respond confidently in your parenting? How can you connect with your partner again and be on the same page about parenting? How can you nurture or create a romantic relationship beyond parenting? How can you be present to your child and have fun with him or her again, even amidst the busyness of the day? Sometimes the stress of parenting can be so overwhelming that you feel totally alone.

Many times there are additional  life circumstances that lead parents to seek support, such as  your child having difficulty with friends or in school, learning to parent a child with a learning or sensory difference, moodiness or challenging behaviors at home, the experience of death, loss, and transitions, traumatic experiences from the past or present, or the added struggle of being a single parent. These are some of the many issues parents face these days.

In our work together we  explore these and other challenges and get the support and guidance you need to confront them and have more ease in your parenting life.

We find a place of greater empathy for you, your child, and your whole family, and create practical tools you can use to begin to make the changes you want. Oftentimes, through exploring these challenges we uncover deep wounds from childhood that have prevented you from being fully present to your children and loved ones. In our work together, we develop a sacred healing relationship where those wounds can be felt in a safe environment and released so that you are no longer driven by forces from the past.
